YOUTH POTTERY WITH EMMA [Ages 9-15]
Wednesdays 4-5:30 pm
In this class we will explore throwing on the wheel, handbuilding and glazing as you learn and practice creating with clay. This class is open to all levels of experience and projects can be catered to individuals needs and hopes. Make-up class should the COMO need to reschedule a class, a makeup class will be held the week after the last scheduled class during the same time period. Taught by Emma Pons.

Private lessons are 120-minute, one-on-one pottery lessons available for beginner to advanced potters. Students can work on a variety of specific projects with instructor. Group lessons are the same base fee with an additional $75 per person to account for clay. -
HERB STRIPPER BOWLS WORKSHOP [AGES 12 & UP]
Make cooking with your freshly grown or store bought herbs easier and more fun with your own custom herb stripper! You will be walked through how to pinch a bowl from a lump of clay and add varying holes to strip your herbs. This class will be led by pottery instructor Emma Pons. Participants at the end of the session will have one custom herb stripper bowl in the size and glaze of their choice to be picked up 2-4 weeks after the workshop.
Pottery will be fired and glazed by instructor and are available for pick up four weeks later. You will receive an email when your items are available for pickup! Items will be picked up from COMO Thrift located at 45 Cutler St. in Stonington, CT.

The air is starting to chill and nothing sounds better than cozying up with a warm cup of tea. Join us at the COMO pottery studio to make up to three charms for a tea strainer and a dish perfect for resting or spoon or tea bag when it is done steeping! You'll learn all about working with slabs of clay to make your dish and other hand-building techniques for creating your charms (<1in). This class will be led by pottery instructor Emma Pons. Participants at the end of the session will have up to three charms and one dish in the size and glaze of their choice to be picked up 2-4 weeks after the workshop.Pottery will be fired and glazed by instructor and are available for pick up four weeks later. GHOST LUMINARIES [AGES 12 & UP]
Come join us for the COMO pottery studio where you will be instructed on how to make your own collection of ghost luminaries! You'll learn all about working with the techniques of molding slabs or pinching clay. Along with painting details (think bedsheet ghosts) and picking the perfect glaze. This class will be led by pottery instructor Emma Pons. Participants at the end of the session will have three ghost luminaries in the glaze of their choice to be picked up 2-4 weeks after the workshop.Pottery will be fired and glazed by instructor and are available for pick up four weeks later. Whether you're dipping bread in fresh garlic and olive oil or grating garlic for a feast, cooking with handmade pottery makes everything greater. Join us in the COMO pottery studio where you will be instructed how to form your own dish from a slab of clay and carve grating grooves just in time for all your holiday dinners! This class will be led by pottery instructor Emma Pons. Participants at the end of the session will have one garlic grater dish in the size and glaze of their choice to be picked up 2-4 weeks after the workshop.

COMO CREATORS[Grades 2-5]
Mondays 4-5:30 pm
Your child will enjoy this fun and innovative 5-week art class that surveys the infinite boundaries of visual expression. Designed to be an interactive survey of modern art/art history for kids, we will create pieces inspired by a variety of artists’ work in an assortment of mediums. Saturdays 2-3:30 pmIn this class, children will explore writing, from poetic forms to elements of the plot, read and dramatically retell stories using simple props and puppets, and create illustrated books of their own. Class will meet at the COMO main building.

COMO Kids After Care Discount: Receive a 10% discount for all COMO after school enrichment programs if the desired program falls on a day in which they are simultaneously enrolled in COMO Kids using the code "ADDPROGRAM10" when registering. Only applies to program fees.
Sibling Discount: Registrants receive 10% off the second sibling if both children are enrolled in the same enrichment program and session at the same time. Use the code ADDSIBLING10 when registering. Applies to additional registrations only (not applicable to first child’s registration).
Enrichment Program Cancellation Policy:
No refunds or credits will be issued for changes or cancellations within 7 days of the program start. Outside of 7 days, enrichment program fees are eligible to receive COMO credit less a 20% administrative fee. COMO credits will be shown on your online member account and expire a year after they are issued. If the program has a waitlist and the space can be filled immediately, a refund less a 20% administrative fee can be processed. If COMO cancels a program, refunds will be provided. Make-up dates may be provided at the instructors' discretion if a class is canceled.
